Green Bay, WI (June 14, 2017) – Cellcom has selected 16 graduating high school seniors from across its service area to receive $750 scholarships.
The winners are: Madeline Sweeney (Green Bay East High School), Allison Palmbach (Bay Port High School), Haley Salzsieder (Algoma High School), Matthew Arndt (Antigo High School), Zoe Brockman (Antigo High School), Vanessa Bradfish (D.C. Everest High School), Jayme Literski (Stratford Senior High), Jason Jaworski (Wausaukee High School), Eva Barton (Pacelli), Emma Schmidt (Shawano Community High School), Travis Eilers (Howards Grove High School), Caleb Blaha (Sheboygan Falls High School), Kimberly Gilbert (Weyauwega-Fremont), Matthew Aeseng (Lincoln High School), Amanda Langley (Mishicot High School), and Kathleen Hussey (Brillion High School).
“Our scholarship application emphasizes community involvement, which is a core value of our business. Each of our recipients has gone above and beyond in his or her community to make a difference. We applaud the efforts of these exceptional students and support their continuing education,” said Brighid Riordan, senior director of public affairs and customer experience initiatives at Cellcom.
In addition to community involvement, recipients were selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school activities, honors, work experience and an essay on community impact. Applicants were also required to reside within a county in Wisconsin or Michigan where Cellcom operates and be planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school.
