Sheboygan, WI (October 24, 2013) – Cellcom partnered with RecycleThatStuff.com to help the Sheboygan community safely dispose of their unwanted electronics, computers and appliances. A community recycling event was held at the Cellcom in Sheboygan (924 N. 14th St.) on Saturday, October 12. Sheboygan residents came out in droves and made the event a huge success.
A total of 227 cars dropped items at the event for a grand total of 14,480 pounds of electronics and appliances recycled. This included:
- 81 TVs
- 53 computer monitors
- 50 dehumidifiers, small air conditioning units, and mini refrigerators
- 22 microwaves
- 2 dishwashers
- 57 electrical cords
- 3,733 small electronics
- 1,141 CPU’s
Cellcom paid all recycling fees for this community event, so all permitted items were disposed of at no cost to the public. RecycleThatStuff.com is an e-Cycle Wisconsin registered computer and electronics collector and recycler through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
