Green Bay, WI (November 20, 2009) – Patrick D. Riordan, president and CEO of Nsight and Cellcom, was recently elected as an officer to the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association's (CTIA) board of directors by fellow board members from around the wireless industry. He will serve as secretary in 2010 for a one-year term. He was also re-elected as a small carrier representative.

CTIA's executive committee is comprised of 22 members, and only two small carriers are allowed to serve on this committee. "It was an honor to be nominated by CTIA's officers and to be elected by the organization's board of directors," Riordan said. "This organization's board includes many high-profile leaders from major carriers. These individuals are highly respected in both the telecom industry and the broader business world."

Riordan will serve with other telecommunications leaders from across the country, including Verizon Wireless president and CEO Lowell Mc Adam, AT & T Mobility president and CEO Ralph de la Vega, Sprint Nextel CEO Dan Hesse, and T-Mobile USA president and CEO Robert Dotson.

"These distinguished wireless industry leaders have a wealth of knowledge and experience that will greatly benefit the Association and the overall industry. I look forward to working with these officers in the coming year as we continue to advocate on behalf of the wireless industry and the more than 276 million U.S. wireless subscribers on many important issues at the federal and state legislatures and regulatory agencies," said Steve Largent, CTIA president and CEO.

CTIA is dedicated to expanding the wireless frontier, and Riordan believes the industry is at a pinnacle. "We are currently experiencing a phenomenal number of new technological applications that have the potential to radically transform the way consumers use their phones. This is an exciting time for our industry, and an incredible opportunity to serve CTIA. I look forward to the journey ahead."

Pat has been a member of CTIA since 1992 and has served on the board of directors since 1993.
