Cellcom has been alerted to a phone scam that is affecting Cellcom customers. An individual has been contacting customers and claiming to be a Cellcom employee. The individual has been asking people to take a three question survey in exchange for a $100 bill credit. During the conversation the person also asks for the name on the customer account, the account number and the last four digits of their social security number.
We are investigating and working to resolve any issues this may have caused with our customers. Cellcom wants customers to be alert. The calls have been coming from 760-750-8888 and 512-614-8201. If you see this number on your caller ID, Cellcom’s suggestion is to ignore the call. Cellcom advises to never give out your social security number over the phone.
