Concert series at Glas continues until April
The February edition of "Saturday Afternoon Delight" will feature Midwest Dilemma on February 19. Fronted by Omaha's Justin Lamoureux, Midwest Dilemma is deeply rooted in history and the journey of one family to America. Their recording Timelines & Tragedies was the winner of Album of the Year at Omaha Entertainment Awards.
The “Saturday Afternoon Delight” concert series takes place at Glas throughout the winter. Local musical talents are showcased from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. November through April on the third Sunday of each month.
“’Saturday Afternoon Delight’ is exactly what the name implies – an afternoon treat of music from some great musicians,” said Angela Jonas, manager of Glas. “The line-up we have scheduled creates a nice time to relax with family and friends and enjoy the music before we are once again in the midst of hectic summer months.”
The remaining schedule is as follows:
March 19 - Jeanne Kuhns and Deborah Hadraba - Kuhns, Door County's pride and joy will open for Hadraba, an esoteric, thought-provoking singer/songwriter. This will be an afternoon of inspiration and encouragement.
April 16 - The Hollands! - The Hollands! are one part American dreamer, one part Aussie charm, a splash of gypsy love and punk DIY ethic.
Glas coffeehouse, which opened in February 2009, serves specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, loose-leaf teas, bakery items and sandwiches.
