Sevastopol Elementary Students to Display Artwork at Glas

E-mail Print PDF

The fourth and fifth grade art classes from Sevastopol Elementary School will have their art displayed at Glas, the green coffeehouse in Sturgeon Bay during the month of February.

A total of 82 students will have a piece of artwork hanging at Glas. The fourth grade class will have work from their snowman enlargement unit displayed. “The students had a lot of fun while learning painting techniques,” said teacher Chris Aufdermauer. “Their work turned out great and really celebrates winter.”

The fifth grade class will have still life drawings on display. Students drew a variety of desserts, accompanied by coffee and hot chocolate, while learning about using oil pastels.

“All of the students absolutely love having their work on display,” said Aufdermauer. “It motivates students to do their best and they are very proud to show their artwork to others.”

Glas reserves one month each year to display student artwork as a way to inspire the next generation of artists. The artwork will be on display until February 28.
