Sturgeon Bay, WI – Glas, the green coffeehouse, has just four concerts left in their summer concert series, Acoustic Thursdays at Glas. These concerts are free and open to the public and feature a variety of artists from around the Midwest, each with a unique acoustic style.
The remaining concerts, which take place from 7-9 p.m. feature:
August 12 - Matthew Davies - Milwaukee-based singer/songwriter Matthew Davies has an honest approach to songwriting and a healthy respect for those who have had an influence on his work. Davies is quickly becoming an artist to watch out for. His first record, Road Song, was recorded in unoccupied rooms of the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago.
August 26 - The Brothers Burn Mountain - From the Northwoods of Wisconsin, "Hey-Hey-My-My" Rocky Mountain High with Wilco-like angularities.
Sept 9 - The Hollands! - One part American dreamer; one part Aussie charm; a splash of gypsy love & punk DIY ethic, that is what makes up the duo, The Hollands!
September 23 - Bill and Kate Isles - Nationally touring artists Bill and Kate Isles write down-to-earth poetic reflections of life experiences and often explore adventurous metaphorical worlds.
