E-mail Print PDF

altRegional wireless service providers from across the country will gather at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Ashwaubenon on June 9 and 10 to discuss technical advancements in the cellular industry.

The Associated Carrier Group’s Member Conference will include 15 vendors and 135 carrier representatives from 36 wireless carriers. Through the efforts of ACG members, Cellcom and other regional wireless providers are able to provide innovative products – like Android devices and other smartphones – to their customers in a more timely fashion. Cellcom is one of four charter members of ACG.

“We are excited to bring this group to the Green Bay area to share knowledge that will benefit all of our customers,” said ACG VP/Executive Director Russ Lipinski.

Participants will discuss the next generation of high-speed wireless networking (commonly referred to as 4G). Long-term evolution (LTE) is the fourth generation of technologies designed to increase the capacity and speed of mobile telephone networks. Cellcom and most other wireless providers currently utilize 3G service.

“ACG’s member carriers are highly focused on providing their customers with exceptional value,” said ACG president Brian Caraway, who also is vice president of Cellular South in Jackson, Miss. “In keeping with this commitment, ACG focuses on acquiring access to compelling and innovative wireless products and services.”
